LOCAL RULES

                                                                                                                               

  1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 18.2)

            Out of Bounds is beyond the boundaries of the course being:

            •          Any fence bounding the course

            •          Any line of white posts with black tops including the area surrounding the

 greens shed, cart shed, nurseries and practice fairway.

•          The course side edge of any wall or paving surrounding the Club House, Pro Shop, Cart Shed and Carpark and the course side edge of the Garden Beds behind the 18th Green and as defined, by BLACK PAVERS across pathways leading to the 1st and 10th Tees.

 

  1. PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES

The young trees identified by stakes or protection sleeves are no play zones:  If a player's ball lies anywhere on the course other than in a penalty area and it lies on or touches such a tree or such a tree interferes with the player's stance or area of intended swing, the player must take relief under Rule 16.1f.

  1. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS CLOSE TO PUTTING GREEN

Immovable obstructions close to putting green (sprinkler heads):  In addition to the types of interference described in Rule 16.1a, when a ball lies in the General Area interference also exists if an immovable obstruction is: on the player’s line of play, is within two club-lengths of the putting green, and is within two club-lengths of the ball.  The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b. (Exception – There is no relief under this Local Rule if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable.)

 

  1. RAKE HOLDERS IN BUNKERS

All Rake Holders in Bunkers on the course are treated as immovable obstructions from which free relief is allowed.

The Player may take free relief, ONCE by placing the ball and playing it from the relief area of one club length (from the Immovable Obstruction) not nearer the hole.

 

  1. RED STAKES DEFINING PENALTY AREAS

The Red Stakes defining the Penalty Areas are to be treated as Movable Obstructions.

 Rule 15.2a(1) applies.

Stakes removed are to be replaced following the stroke.

TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES

 

SEAMS OF CUT TURF HOLE 2.                                                                                                                            
If a player's ball lies in or touches a seam of cut turf or a seam interferes with the player's area of intended swing, the player may take free relief  by placing the ball within one club length, no nearer the hole. But interference does not exist if the seam only interferes with the player's stance.

ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITION – (HOLE 2)

No Play Zone -  areas marked with white lines or dots

Relief MUST be taken under Rule 16.1f 

If your ball lands in an area that is an Abnormal Course Condition then take Nearest Point of Complete Relief no nearer the Hole.

 

ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITION (Hole 3 (Teeing area to start of fairway)).

Damaged areas from Construction, vehicle tracks and the like on Hole 3 where course works are being undertaken – take Nearest Point of Complete Relief under Rule 16.1b

 

ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITION – (Putting Greens)

Relief MAY be taken under Rule  16.1d 

If your ball is on the Putting Green and there is interreference by an  Abnormal Course Condition or that Abnormal Course Condition interferes with  your line of play then take  Nearest Point of Complete Relief no nearer the Hole.

 

ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITION – (Green Surrounds)

Relief MAY be taken under Rule 16.1b 

If your ball lands in an area that is an Abnormal Course Condition then take Nearest Point of Relief no nearer the Hole. Relief is not given if the Abnormal Course Condition interferes with your stance or line of play.

 

ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITION – (RHS 17th Green)

Sanded patches from removal of parramatta (weed) grass)

Relief MAY be taken under Rule 16.1b 

If your ball lands in an area that is an Abnormal Course Condition then take Nearest Point of Relief no nearer the Hole. Relief is not given if the Abnormal Course Condition interferes with your stance or line of play.

 

PREFERRED LIE

When any part of a Player’s ball touches part of the general area cut to fairway height of less, the player may take free relief ONCE, from the spot of the original ball, of 1 score card length(20cm) by placing the original ball or another ball in the general area and playing it from this relief area no nearer the hole.  The Player must choose a spot to place the ball and use the procedures for replacing a ball under Rules 14.2b(2) and 14.2e.

 

TREE ROOTS

If a Players ball lies in the GENERAL AREA and there is interference from exposed tree roots, such as in a part of the general area cut to fairway height of less, the tree roots are treated as ground under repair. The Player may take free relief under Rule 16.1b.

But relief is not allowed if the tree roots only interfere with the Player’s stance.
